Job Description

SSP America is a leading operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations, including airports, train stations, and service areas across North America. Our portfolio boasts a diverse range of popular dining venues, from fast casual eateries to quick service restaurants that cater to the dynamic needs of travelers. At Newark Liberty International Airport, we proudly manage multiple well-known food brands such as Flavortown, Jersey Mike's, Felina, Playa Bowls, Sora Sushi, and Smokehouse, among others. This extensive selection provides travelers and staff with varied culinary options while emphasizing quality, efficiency, and outstanding service.

We are currently seeking dedicated and motivated Shift Supervisors to join our team. This full-time position offers an hourly rate of $23.00 and may be eligible for the Healthy Terminal Act stipend. As a Shift Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in the daily operation and management of our restaurant outlets within the bustling airport environment. Your responsibilities will include working alongside your team to foster a positive, engaging, and productive atmosphere. You'll ensure adherence to industry best practices and maintain a safe and clean environment for both employees and guests.

The role demands strong leadership and communication skills, along with the ability to multitask and manage a dynamic team under fast-paced conditions typical of the quick service restaurant industry. Supervisors are expected to uphold high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and customer service while encouraging teamwork and accountability. In addition, basic computer skills are required for administrative tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and inventory management. Previous experience in a similar role within the quick service or fast casual restaurant sector is highly valued, and a ServSafe certification is preferred but not mandatory.
