Job Description

Red Robin is a vibrant, full-service restaurant known for its high-volume operations and uniquely quirky vibe that sets it apart from typical burger joints. With a laid-back atmosphere, Red Robin prides itself on delivering burgers beyond the ordinary, affectionately calling them "burgers beyond yumagination." The restaurant is not only a place to enjoy great food but also a community hub that celebrates connection, fun, and generosity, symbolized by its world-famous bottomless steak fries. Red Robin is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone is welcomed and valued for their unique contributions, creating a sense of belonging for both guests and team members alike.

The role of Shift Supervisor at Red Robin is an exciting leadership opportunity designed for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and possess a strong drive for operational excellence. Shift Supervisors manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant during their scheduled mid and closing shifts, working under the supervision of exempt management. This position requires candidates to demonstrate the company’s core values and leadership principles, as successful Shift Supervisors become ambassadors for the brand’s equity standards, ensuring an excellent guest experience and the maximization of profits.

As part of the leadership team, Shift Supervisors are master resolvers in guest interactions, adept at maintaining high standards in cleanliness, sanitation, food quality, and overall guest satisfaction. They play a critical role in motivating and supervising peers, optimizing restaurant operations, and upholding business maturity and professionalism. Red Robin provides selected candidates with on-the-job training for specific management tasks and opportunities for leadership growth, making this role ideal for those who want to build a career in the restaurant industry.

In addition to the gratification that comes from leading a dynamic team and creating memorable dining experiences, Shift Supervisors at Red Robin enjoy flexible work schedules that accommodate various lifestyle needs. Compensation ranges from $17.65 to $21.28 per hour, reflecting experience and tenure. The role also offers attractive perks such as a 50% discount on Red Robin food for employees, a 25% discount for family members, referral bonuses for bringing in new team members, and additional compensation options. Career advancement opportunities are abundant, supported by a culture that prioritizes professional development and growth within the company.

Red Robin’s commitment to its employees extends beyond salary and discounts. Eligible Shift Supervisors can access a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, vision, and dental insurance; accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity coverage; a 401k retirement plan with company matching; paid time off accruing with service; and employee stock purchase programs. These benefits are designed to support employee wellness, financial security, and work-life balance, complementing the rewarding work experience at Red Robin.

Overall, this role is perfect for someone energetic, goal-oriented, compassionate, and ready to embrace a leadership position in a fun and fast-paced restaurant environment. Whether you're a current team member looking to grow your career or a new candidate eager to join a passionate hospitality team, the Shift Supervisor position offers the tools, support, and opportunity to thrive and succeed with Red Robin.
