The Shift Supervisor role at Trulieve is a vital leadership position within the retail department, responsible for supporting the General Manager and Assistant General Manager in supervising store operations and personnel. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth daily functioning of the store while upholding regulatory compliance in accordance with state laws. The Shift Supervisor ensures that the store meets and exceeds key performance metrics while maintaining high standards in visual merchandising and customer experience. Responsibilities include handling opening and closing procedures, coaching and training team members, resolving customer issues and escalations, maintaining store inventory, and enforcing company policies and standard operating procedures. The role demands a professional approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion. Shift Supervisors must be adaptable and capable of working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the dynamic needs of the retail environment. Job Requirements
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass a MVR background check (delivery locations only)
- must be able to pass a level 1 and level 2 background check
- must be at least 21 years of age
- must function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies
- must be able to relate to and work with patrons of different ages, abilities, and patrons that at times are experiencing emotional distress, or displaying a hostile attitude
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- prior management experience, preferably in retail and/or customer service area is a plus
- must have prior cash handling experience
- strong interpersonal skills and professionalism to communicate with all levels of management and staff
- ability to uphold a strict level of confidentiality and discretion
- able to communicate in conversational English to work effectively with customers and team members
- operate electronic equipment such as computer, scanner, printer
- comprehend safety procedures and utilize telecommunication devices
- ability to interact with customers and team members respectfully and politely
Job Duties
- Assume all duties of a key-holding supervisor related to opening and closing procedures and basic supervision of staff
- maintain brand standards in visual merchandising
- ensure consistent regulatory compliance with all state specific regulations
- review, communicate and ensure compliance with all company SOPs and assure that any changes are communicated to employees
- provide coaching, training, and development to the team that is focused on company service standards and accountability to meet specific objectives
- monitor and maintain store inventory
- responsible for handling and resolving patient issues and escalations
- maintain professional working relationships with business partners
- maintain strict confidentiality and compliance
- perform other tasks that have been assigned by management
