As a forward-thinking company, Starbucks emphasizes community connection, diversity, and inclusion within every store and among its partners (employees). This commitment not only drives its global success but also fosters a positive and supportive environment for all who contribute to Starbucks’ mission. Starbucks operates across many countries and has a robust presence in cities large and small, serving millions of customers daily who seek premium coffee and a comfortable, inviting space to enjoy their beverages. Starbucks Coffee Company is an equal opportunity employer, advocating for diversity in its hiring practices and ensuring fair treatment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, disability, or veteran status. The role of a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks is pivotal for creating a seamless and enjoyable experience for customers while supporting the store team to maintain high standards. This position involves leading with both craft and heart to foster an atmosphere that reflects Starbucks’ values of community and quality. This position requires flexibility, as working hours may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays. Starbucks invests heavily in the professional growth of its partners, offering developmental experiences that empower employees and enhance their career trajectories within the company. Alongside on-the-job training and coaching, employees benefit from industry-leading perks and support systems that include comprehensive health benefits and educational opportunities.

Starbucks believes in not only serving quality products but also creating opportunities for its partners to thrive both personally and professionally. Shift Supervisors play a crucial role in achieving this by guiding the team, handling customer interactions, and ensuring operational excellence. The position demands strong interpersonal skills, an ability to direct and inspire a team, and the capability to uphold Starbucks’ high standards of service and quality. Benefits for this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance options, paid parental leave, paid vacation and sick time, participation in 401(k) retirement plans with employer matching, and several educational programs such as the Starbucks College Achievement Plan, which covers tuition costs for a first-time bachelor’s degree. Starbucks further supports its partners with financial well-being tools, emergency savings incentives, and flexible backup care options. This comprehensive benefits package underscores Starbucks' dedication to its partners’ holistic well-being.

Joining Starbucks as a Shift Supervisor means becoming part of a dynamic team committed to making every coffee moment meaningful. Individuals in this role are key contributors to Starbucks’ goal of being a beloved community hub, where every customer’s experience is enhanced by the warmth, expertise, and care of the partners behind the counter.
