The role of a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks is pivotal to maintaining the store's high standards and ensuring a positive customer experience. As a shift supervisor, you will be responsible for leading with craft and heart, making your coffeehouse a welcoming space for the surrounding community. This position offers you the opportunity to manage daily operations efficiently while mentoring and supporting your team to deliver excellent service consistently. Your role extends beyond coffee preparation — you will coordinate staff, manage cash handling, oversee store safety and security, and ensure all food and beverage offerings meet quality standards. Job Requirements

  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Availability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Meet store operating policies and standards related to quality product preparation, cash handling, and safety
  • Ability to prepare and coach standard and customized food and beverage recipes
  • Six months of experience interacting with and fulfilling customer requests
  • Six months of experience coordinating or delegating tasks to two or more employees

Job Qualifications

  • Six months of experience in a customer-facing role
  • Six months of experience delegating or coordinating tasks among employees
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of retail store operations
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to build relationships and direct the work of others
  • Effective oral communication skills

Job Duties

  • Lead and coordinate team members during shifts to ensure smooth operations
  • Prepare and coach the preparation of food and beverages according to standard and customized recipes
  • Manage cash handling, store safety, and security procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service by fulfilling customer requests efficiently
  • Delegate tasks to employees and ensure completion
  • Maintain quality standards for all products and services offered
  • Support a welcoming and inclusive environment for customers and staff
