Job Description
Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally renowned coffeehouse chain dedicated to crafting the world's finest coffee while fostering meaningful connections one cup at a time. With a rich heritage rooted in quality, community, and inclusivity, Starbucks has established itself as more than just a place to enjoy coffee; it's a warm and welcoming space where people from all walks of life come together to share moments and experiences. Starbuck's commitment to its partners (employees) goes beyond the typical workplace; it strives to provide an environment that encourages growth, development, and well-being.
As a shift supervisor at Starbucks, you will play a critical role in leading your team to deliver exceptional customer experiences that brighten each customer's day. This role is about more than managing operations; it is about leading with craft and heart, making your coffeehouse a hub for community and connection. You will be responsible for coaching and inspiring your team, ensuring quality in every beverage and food item served, and maintaining store safety and security. Your leadership will enable a smooth and efficient store operation during your shift, while also reinforcing Starbucks' values of warmth, inclusivity, and customer engagement.
This position offers flexible scheduling to accommodate early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays, making it suitable for individuals who thrive in a dynamic and variable work environment. Starbucks values consistency and reliability, so regular attendance and punctuality are essential qualities for success in this role. Additionally, this role requires at least six months of experience in customer interaction and task delegation, reflecting the supervisory nature of the position.
Starbucks invests heavily in its partners' growth journeys through developmental experiences and industry-leading benefits. These benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options, life insurance, disability coverage, paid parental leave, vacation and sick time accrual, and additional pay for holiday work. Partners also have access to retirement plans with employer matching, stock purchase programs, emergency savings incentives, financial wellness tools, and extensive education benefits such as 100% tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor's degree through Arizona State University’s online program. The company emphasizes inclusivity and equal opportunity, welcoming applicants from diverse backgrounds and ensuring accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
In summary, the shift supervisor role at Starbucks is ideal for those passionate about coffee culture, committed to excellent customer service, and eager to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced retail environment. By joining Starbucks, you become part of a global community that values connection, quality, and growth, both for its customers and its partners.
