Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company, a globally recognized leader in the coffeehouse industry, is renowned for crafting the world’s finest coffee and creating meaningful experiences, one cup at a time. Founded in 1971, Starbucks has grown from a small Seattle-based coffee shop to an international brand with thousands of locations worldwide. The company not only prides itself on delivering high-quality coffee and beverages but also on fostering a warm and welcoming environment where customers feel valued and connected. Starbucks is committed to social responsibility, ethical sourcing, and environmental sustainability, setting it apart as one of the most beloved and respected coffeehouse brands globally.

As a shift supervisor at Starbucks, you will play a pivotal role in leading your coffeehouse team to deliver exceptional customer experiences while ensuring smooth store operations. This leadership position invites you to use your craft and heart to create a welcoming space for your community. You will manage and oversee a diverse team of baristas, guide daily store activities, and uphold Starbucks' high standards for product quality, customer service, and safety. This role demands strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and the ability to foster a team-oriented work environment where every shift is an opportunity to brighten someone’s day.

The shift supervisor is also deeply involved in operational responsibilities including cash handling, maintaining store safety and security, and coaching employees based on standard recipes or customer preferences. Starbucks invests in your professional growth, providing developmental experiences that empower you to thrive in your role. The company also offers industry-leading benefits that support both your personal well-being and financial future. This employment opportunity offers flexible scheduling with the potential to work mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of retail operations.

Joining Starbucks means becoming part of a global community that values inclusivity, diversity, and equal opportunity for all partners. The company offers comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, life insurance options, and access to short-term and long-term disability benefits. Paid parental leave, vacation accrual, sick time, and holiday pay further enhance the support provided to partners. Financial wellness is a key focus with 401(k) retirement plans, employer matches, discounted company stock programs, and educational benefits including 100% tuition coverage for a bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program.

Starbucks' commitment to its employees extends to providing accommodations for applicants with disabilities and embracing diversity and equality at all levels of employment. This ensures that every partner is respected and empowered to contribute meaningfully. Being a shift supervisor at Starbucks is more than a job – it is a chance to grow as a leader, build meaningful customer relationships, and be part of a company that continuously sets industry standards for coffee quality and community engagement.
