The position of Shift Supervisor at Tasty Chick'n plays a pivotal role in supporting the Restaurant General Manager to ensure that the restaurant meets its production targets, maintains compliance with company standards, and delivers outstanding customer service. This role is crucial for achieving success in people management, customer engagement, sales, and profitability. The Shift Supervisor acts as a role model by embodying Tasty Chick'n’s guiding values and overseeing all critical operational aspects, including food safety protocols, facility maintenance, and financial accountability. Through effective training, coaching, and team support, the Shift Supervisor helps build a team of A+ talent, ensuring that all employees perform at their highest capabilities.
Responsibilities include managing shift schedules to cover all day parts such as opening, lunch, dinner, overnight shifts, and weekends to ensure continuous operational excellence. The Shift Supervisor directly observes food safety measures during shifts and drives a customer-focused culture by resolving serious customer issues and coaching service team members to adhere to core operational procedures. Partnering closely with the General Manager, the Shift Supervisor assists in monitoring inventory, managing sales projections, and implementing marketing initiatives to boost restaurant performance and enhance customer engagement.
Moreover, the Shift Supervisor plays a vital role in analyzing inventory and controllable costs to maintain profitability and complying with federal, state, and local regulations. They must possess strong leadership and communication skills, be adaptable to changing conditions, and have a problem-solving mindset to navigate operational challenges effectively. This role requires flexibility in working hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional travel to other locations for training or support.
Ideal candidates will have at least one year of experience in restaurant operations or food service management, with proven success in supervisory roles that involve team training and development. Certification in ServSafe and additional food safety training are preferred, along with customer service and conflict resolution skills. Familiarity with POS systems, restaurant management software, inventory control practices, and marketing initiatives will contribute to the candidate’s success in this role.

Job Requirements

- minimum of one year experience in restaurant operations, food service management, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- proven track record of success in a supervisory role within the restaurant or retail environment

Job Qualifications
- ServSafe certification preferred

Job Duties
- Demonstrate Tasty Chick'n's Guiding Values while assisting the Restaurant General Manager in building high-performing employees by training, coaching, and recognizing A+ talent utilizing Tasty Chick'n's tools and processes
- execute the Performance Management process consistently to ensure employees are set up for success and held accountable
- partner with the Restaurant General Manager to resolve all employee relations activities while maintaining legal compliance in the restaurant
- work a schedule to ensure that all day parts are being observed, i.e., opening, lunch, dinner, overnight, and weekends
- drive a customer-focused culture by serving as a role model in resolving serious customer issues
- coach and assist the Restaurant General Manager in holding all service team members accountable for core operational procedures through the use of the OSM and company systems
- assist the Restaurant General Manager in monitoring metrics and inventory management
- ensure that food safety standards are met through direct observation while running shifts
- partner with the General Manager to ensure that restaurant projections and marketing initiatives are in place and being implemented
- partner with the Restaurant General Manager to analyze inventory and controllables on a continual basis and take specific corrective action to meet or achieve margin and cost of goods targets
- assist the Restaurant General Manager in ensuring that the restaurant is compliant with Federal, State, and Local requirements
