Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company stands as a premier global coffeehouse brand renowned for its commitment to crafting the world's finest coffee and fostering meaningful connections. Founded with a passion for excellence in coffee culture, Starbucks has grown into a household name that represents quality, community, and sustainability. As a leader in the coffee retail industry, Starbucks operates thousands of stores worldwide, each designed to be a welcoming space that encourages people to come together, enjoy expertly prepared beverages, and create meaningful moments. Beyond serving coffee, Starbucks prioritizes the growth and well-being of its partners, offering comprehensive benefits and development opportunities designed to nurture both career and personal growth.

The position of Shift Supervisor at Starbucks is a vital leadership role responsible for guiding teams to deliver superior customer experiences in a fast-paced environment. As a shift supervisor, you become the face of the store during your shift, leading with both craft and heart to ensure that each customer encounter is memorable and that the coffeehouse remains a comfortable, inviting place for the local community. Your responsibilities will include managing daily operations, coaching partners to meet company standards, and maintaining a high level of store safety and security. This role is more than just operational management; it is about inspiring a team, driving performance, and creating a positive work atmosphere that reflects Starbucks' values.

Starbucks invests heavily in the growth journey of its partners, empowering them through developmental experiences and industry-leading benefits. As a shift supervisor, you will be equipped with the tools and support necessary to advance your career within the company. Your work schedule will be flexible, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the coffee industry. Compensation is geographically based, with new partners typically starting at the entry point of the pay range for their role. Starbucks also offers equal opportunity employment practices and ensures accommodations for candidates with disabilities, emphasizing an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.

In this role, your experience in customer interaction, ability to coordinate and delegate tasks, and knowledge of retail operations will be critical. You will prepare and coach your team in making quality beverages and food items, customize orders to customer preferences, and uphold the highest standards of service and product quality. Your leadership skills will be essential in directing the work of others, building strong interpersonal relationships, and maintaining a team-oriented environment. Effective communication and quick learning ability are also vital components of your success as a shift supervisor at Starbucks.

Starbucks not only cares about its customers and partners but also ensures that partners and their families have access to extensive benefits. These include medical, dental, vision, life insurance options, paid parental leave, vacation accrual, sick time, holiday pay, retirement plans with employer matching, stock purchase opportunities, tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor's degree through Arizona State University's online program, and much more. Starbucks' comprehensive benefits package reflects its commitment to supporting partners' health, financial security, education, and overall well-being. By joining Starbucks as a shift supervisor, you will be part of a company that values excellence, community, and partner growth, working in a role that is essential to creating great coffee experiences and fostering a vibrant local culture.
