Job Description
Wonder is a pioneering mealtime platform dedicated to making world-class food accessible to everyone, regardless of location. Operating as a multi-restaurant delivery and dining service, Wonder combines more than 20 exclusive restaurants under a single umbrella, allowing customers to order from a diverse menu covering a wide array of cuisines all in one go. With zero delivery fees, the flexibility of dine-in or pick-up, and fresh, made-to-order dishes prepared by their expert culinary team on-site, Wonder offers an innovative dining experience that caters to every taste and craving. The company controls every aspect of the customer journey from recipe development to technology management to deliver unmatched quality, variety, and consistency at scale. This holistic control enables Wonder to provide a seamless and dependable service that sets it apart from traditional dining and food delivery services.
Wonder is seeking a full-time Shift Supervisor to join their team at the Media location, a role pivotal to maintaining high standards of kitchen operations and customer satisfaction. The position offers a competitive pay rate of $20.00 per hour, with an additional $2.00 per hour premium for overnight shifts worked between midnight and 5:00 AM. As a Shift Supervisor, you will play a leadership role in managing restaurant team members, coordinating with the chef leadership team, and ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly through every phase of service including opening, prep, and closing duties.
In this role, you will oversee order management, inventory supervision, and compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards, making sure all kitchen operations adhere to company policies and budget guidelines. Your leadership will be both operational and ethical, setting the tone for professionalism and teamwork among staff. This includes conducting briefings before and after shifts, managing kitchen equipment maintenance, and ensuring the highest quality of food and service standards are met consistently.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of supervisory experience within the quick service or full-service restaurant industry and possess strong communication skills, leadership capabilities, and attention to detail. You should be comfortable leading a team in a fast-paced environment, handling the physical demands of the job, including standing for full shifts and lifting up to 50 pounds. Open availability is essential, particularly at night and on weekends, to meet the varied needs of restaurant operations.
Wonder offers a comprehensive benefits package that supports their employees from health coverage to career advancement opportunities, including medical, dental, and vision insurance; 100% employer-paid life insurance; 401K retirement plan with employer match for health savings accounts; holiday pay premium; employee stock options; and exclusive employee discounts. This role is not only a job but an opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking company that values diversity, equity, and inclusion as part of its core hiring philosophy. Wonder is committed to fair and objective hiring practices, ensuring candidates are judged based on their potential and qualifications, thereby fostering a welcoming and supportive work environment.
Joining Wonder means becoming part of a dynamic culture dedicated to revolutionizing the food service industry through quality, innovation, and inclusivity, making this role an excellent career step for motivated hospitality professionals who thrive in leadership roles and fast-paced environments.
