Job Description
Border Foods started as a vision between two brothers who wanted to open a Mexican restaurant and has since expanded into one of the largest privately held Taco Bell franchisees in America. With a commitment to a people-first mantra, Border Foods places an emphasis on creating supportive and welcoming environments for both employees and customers. Their organizational culture is built around Core Values including Accountability, Integrity, Family, Excellence, Teamwork, and Empowerment. These values are not only words on a wall but are actively practiced and promoted across all levels of the company, from cooks and cashiers to restaurant managers and beyond. As a family-oriented establishment, Border Foods encourages continuous learning, personal growth, and collaborative development to shape the future of their mission to make lives better.
The Shift Leader role at Border Foods is instrumental in upholding these Core Values and ensuring that every restaurant operation reflects these standards. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for managing the entire restaurant operations during your shift, building and leading a strong team committed to delivering excellent food and customer service while maintaining a safe, clean, and inviting environment. Earning between $12 and $24 per hour, this position offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills and foster an inclusive workplace where every team member can thrive.
In this role, you will play a key part in creating positive experiences for employees and guests alike. The Shift Leader is accountable for scheduling and deploying team members effectively, ensuring that food safety and health standards meet regulatory guidelines, and resolving employee and customer issues promptly with professionalism and sincerity. Your strategic planning skills and ability to analyze profit and loss statements will guide you in making financial decisions that contribute to the restaurant's success. You will also direct new hire orientation and provide ongoing training and coaching, fueling team members’ growth and confidence. Border Foods prioritizes a culture where recognition is frequent, communications are clear, and challenges are managed constructively. By joining Border Foods as a Shift Leader, you become a vital communicator and role model who empowers others to succeed while playing a central role in building a vibrant and engaging workplace experience.
