The Manager II functions under the guidance of the General Manager or higher-level management and plays a key role in the day-to-day oversight of associates, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety standards, and customer service excellence.
This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $21.00 to $24.41 and is classified as a non-exempt role under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The Manager II is expected to work varied and rotating schedules that include opening, peak busy hours, and closing shifts, demonstrating flexibility to effectively manage restaurant operations across all business hours. Responsibilities include supervising team members, participating in hiring and evaluation processes, scheduling shifts, ensuring compliance with adult beverage policies, maintaining a clean and visually appealing environment, monitoring equipment functionality, handling cash operations securely, and enforcing wellness and safety protocols.
HMSHost values manager-coaches who are reliable, ethical, and dedicated to fostering a supportive workplace. These managers are passionate about customer service and hospitality, open to innovative ideas, and adept at adjusting to the evolving pace of the business. They serve not only the guests and the company but also their team members, promoting a collaborative environment where everyone can succeed. At HMSHost, success is built upon strong teams, positive energy, and a fun, rewarding workplace culture. Employees enjoy comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday pay, meal and transportation benefits, a 401(k) plan with company match, company-paid life insurance, tuition reimbursement, and career growth opportunities. HMSHost also supports its associates through employee assistance programs and referral bonuses.
This role is ideal for individuals with a minimum of four years of food and beverage experience, including cash handling and customer service, and at least two years of supervisory or leadership experience in casual dining or production kitchen settings. The ability to communicate effectively, adhere to safety and health standards, and lead by example is essential. HMSHost is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusivity in its workforce, promoting a drug-free workplace and providing a supportive environment for minorities, females, disabled individuals, and veterans. This opportunity allows motivated individuals to grow their career in a vibrant, fast-paced hospitality setting where they can truly make a difference.
