The Manager II position at HMSHost plays a vital role in supporting branch management by tactically executing complex quick-service restaurant (QSR), casual dining, or similar restaurant management operations. This role ensures that the restaurant is clean, fully staffed, and ready for business, with all operations running to the highest standards. The Manager II is responsible for performing opening, daily, and closing procedures, supervising associate activities, and ensuring compliance with operational policies including adult beverage regulations. Additionally, the Manager II participates in hiring, termination, promotions, and scheduling to maintain optimum staffing and productivity. They also ensure all equipment operates effectively, display areas are clean and well-stocked, and cash handling policies are strictly followed.

Job Requirements
- Ability to work shifts during various operating days and hours including opening, busy day parts and closing to monitor associate activities
- Knowledge of all applicable federal, state and local sanitary, safety and health standards
- Knowledge of all procedures and protocols to comply with HACCP standards
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years food and beverage, cash handling and customer service experience
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory or lead experience in a casual dine restaurant or production kitchen
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents
- Ability to converse comfortably with customers
Job Duties
- Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures
- Assists the GM/AGM in managing by supervising day-to-day activities of associates within a defined individual or group of restaurants or points-of-sale
- Ensures compliance with all company adult beverage policies and ensures all restaurant staff understand and follow AB procedures
- Participates in interview process, provides input in hiring decisions, recommends termination, advancement or promotion to GM
- Assigns work tasks and activities, participates in preparing schedules, ensures all shifts are covered
- Actively ensures all associates take mandated rest breaks and meal periods
- Ensures display areas are appropriately clean, stocked and visually appealing
- Ensures all equipment is in good working order
- Operates cash register and voids transactions as needed following cash handling policies, maintains proper security of cash at all times
- Monitors compliance with wellness and safety procedures and reports any safety concerns to GM
- Understands and performs all health and safety activities as specified
- Places orders for units, receives goods, processes invoices
- Ensures current contact information for all associates is maintained
