The specific opportunity at HMSHost is a Manager In Training (MGRI) position, offering an hourly wage range from $21.92 to $26.79. This position falls under the Fair Labor Standards Act as non-exempt and reports typically to the General Manager, Director of Operations, or an intermediate Food and Beverage Multi-Unit Manager II at the assigned location. The role requires working a varied and rotating schedule that includes opening, busy day parts, and closing shifts to effectively monitor and support restaurant associates' activities throughout different hours and days. The Manager In Training will be responsible for learning operational procedures, safety and sanitary standards, and leadership skills needed to oversee restaurant and production kitchen teams. The position demands a minimum of two years of experience in food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service, along with at least six months of supervisory or lead experience in a similar setting. Job Requirements
- Ability to work shifts during various operating days and hours each week
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local sanitary, safety, and health standards and compliance protocols including HACCP standards
- Minimum of two years food and beverage experience
- Minimum of two years cash handling experience
- Minimum of two years customer service experience
- At least six months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and policy documents
- Ability to work varied and rotating schedules including opening, busy day parts, and closing shifts

Job Duties
- Work shifts during various operating days and hours each week to monitor restaurant associates' work activities
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local sanitary, safety, and health standards including HACCP protocols
- Assist in training and supervising restaurant and production kitchen staff
- Support the General Manager or Director of Operations in daily restaurant operations
- Implement company policies and procedures consistently
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure excellent customer service
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and positive work environment
