The Dragon Beaux Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage production and service during their assigned shifts. This role requires a hands-on, lead-by-example management style that ensures both operational excellence and exceptional guest satisfaction. The Shift Manager is a key player in training and supervising the team, ensuring their development aligns with company values and service standards. They are responsible for managing all aspects of the shift, including staff scheduling, operational compliance, inventory control, budgeting, and quality assurance.

In this position, the Shift Manager will ensure that all departmental and company policies, procedures, and government regulations are strictly followed. They must maintain the highest standards of safety and sanitation, ensuring all food handling and service procedures meet or exceed health codes. Inventory management is another critical responsibility, involving requisitioning and restocking food, beverages, equipment, and supplies to keep the location well-prepared.

The Shift Manager also monitors food preparation, portion sizes, and presentation, guaranteeing the quality of offerings matches Dragon Beaux's reputation. They conduct inspections of supplies, equipment, and workspace to maintain cleanliness and functionality. Customer service excellence is a priority, with the manager investigating and resolving any complaints related to food quality or service promptly and effectively.

Financial oversight forms an important part of this role. The Shift Manager maintains payroll records, reviews financial transactions, and helps control food and labor costs daily to optimize profitability. Additionally, the Shift Manager must be authorized to sell, serve, or distribute alcoholic beverages and hold comp authority, necessitating possession of a Gaming License. Certifications in Food Safety and ServSafe are essential to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. The role requires a minimum age of 21 years, a high school diploma or equivalent, and substantial experience in food and beverage management with at least three years in a supervisory capacity. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, POS systems, and operational financial management is mandatory.

Job Duties

  • Schedule, direct, supervise, train, and develop Dragon Beaux staff
  • ensure compliance with all department and company sales, regulations, policies, procedures, internal controls, and government rules and regulations
  • develop and maintain high standards of safety and sanitation
  • follow a requisition system for restocking the location by managing inventory and ordering food and beverages, equipment, and supplies
  • oversee food preparation, portion sizes, and the overall presentation of food
  • inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas
  • ensure employees comply with health and food safety standards and regulations
  • investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality or service
  • schedule staff hours and assign duties
  • maintain budgets and payroll records and review financial transactions
  • establish standards for personnel performance and customer service
  • optimize profits by controlling food and labor costs and expenses on a daily basis
  • promote positive public and employee relations
  • perform other duties as assigned
