The Shift Manager - Beverage plays a vital role within The Venetian Resort’s Beverage Department, overseeing all aspects of beverage operations during their shift. The position requires dynamic leadership to manage a team dedicated to maintaining the resort’s premium service standards. The manager is responsible for ensuring that all beverage functions align with the hotel’s policies, practices, and procedures, supporting the establishment's reputation for quality and excellence. This full-time position demands an individual who can manage staff effectively, uphold health and safety regulations including state liquor laws, and contribute to the ongoing development and training of team members. Key responsibilities include directing staff to meet and exceed the 4-Star and 5-Diamond standards, monitoring cleanliness and organization, and compliance with sanitation regulations. A strong focus on guest interaction is essential, including a thorough knowledge of all hotel services, amenities, and local attractions to assist guests accurately and professionally. Physical stamina is also important to navigate various areas of the property and perform duties that may involve prolonged standing and walking.
The ideal candidate will be at least 21 years of age, legally authorized to work in the United States, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. They should have at least two years of experience managing shifts in a beverage department, with preference given to those who have experience managing multiple locations. Knowledge of proper food service and sanitation standards is mandatory. Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is preferred to facilitate communication in a diverse environment. Excellent interpersonal skills, a professional appearance adhering to company standards, and a positive, upbeat communication style are also essential. Job Qualifications
- 21 years of age

- Must maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to VCR appearance standards

- Must be available to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Directs, implements and maintains a service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff
- Constantly seek ways to improve quality
- Develop and maintain 4-Star standards
- Provide feedback to staff on their performance
- Handle disciplinary problems and counsel employees according to hotel standards
- Develop and maintain ongoing training initiatives (daily and monthly)
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment
- Use equipment only as intended
- Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
- Consistently demonstrate Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino core values
- Maintain complete knowledge and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving
- Assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests

- Successfully manages a 5-Star and 5-Diamond Beverage Team
