The role of Shift Supervisor at Fresh Dining Concepts, LLC is essential for maintaining smooth store operations during assigned shifts. This position involves managing the store in the absence of the Assistant Manager or Store Manager, providing leadership and oversight to Team Members while ensuring compliance with all company policies and standards. The Shift Supervisor handles important duties such as supervising staff, ensuring product quality, managing cash and register operations, and upholding health and safety regulations. Additionally, this role is key to creating a positive guest experience by overseeing the preparation and presentation of products from any of the associated brands—Auntie Anne's, Cinnabon, Jamba Juice, or Carvel. The Shift Supervisor must be capable of maintaining composure during busy periods and handling guest concerns professionally, thereby setting a positive tone for the entire team.

Shift Supervisors are expected to perform hands-on tasks that include preparing food products, operating baking equipment safely, and managing the cleanliness and organization of the store. As a leader during their shift, they coordinate meal breaks, handle shift staffing issues such as call-offs, and ensure that all store procedures related to opening, closing, and maintenance are completed. They are also responsible for accurate cash management and record keeping, including running register reports and completing daily cash reports. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • 6 months to 2 years of experience in retail management, food service industry, or equivalent retail experience
  • Current food handler certification or ability to obtain certification within first 30 days as required by local law
  • Basic math and reading skills, including simple addition, multiplication, and subtraction
  • Ability to use and operate a calculator accurately
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to develop skills in leadership, coaching others respectfully and professionally
  • Strong guest focus with excellent people skills including a positive can-do attitude and a teachable spirit
  • Availability to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Compliance with all health and sanitation laws and regulations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Perform all team member responsibilities such as preparing dough and other Jamba Juice products
  • Prepare specialty pretzels or other brand products for Cinnabon and Auntie Anne's
  • Insert, rotate, and remove pretzel/Cinnabon trays
  • monitor ovens for correct baking time and product color
  • Dip, drain, and fill pretzels/cinnamon in the warmer/hot plate
  • Prepare drinks and bag orders using appropriate health and safety measures
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of team members
  • coordinate their meal breaks and breaks per state and federal law
  • Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the store operating up to standards and to set a positive example for the team
  • In the event of call-offs, no-shows, contact the Store Manager or Assistant Manager and recommend a solution to secure a replacement for the shift
  • Monitor product quality and adherence to proper operating procedures
  • complaints, as required
  • Ensure guest service and a positive guest experience
  • Address, respond to, and resolve guests' needs, questions, and complaints
  • Assure that all opening/closing procedures are performed, including all daily and scheduled, periodic maintenance and cleaning procedures
  • Responsible for store funds during assigned shifts
  • Access to bottom safe to issue and replace shift drawers/till and access to 'to make change'
  • Run register reports, complete daily cash reports, and hourly reading sheets
  • If closing, complete the Sales Log report
  • Follow all cash management and cash register policies and ensure proper cash management practices are followed
  • Comply with all Auntie Anne's/Cinnabon and Fresh Dining Concepts policies and procedures including relevant federal and state regulations such as safety and environmental standards, OSHA, EPA, Right to Know, EEO, ADA
