Job Description
Wendy's is a globally recognized fast-food restaurant chain known for its commitment to quality, fresh ingredients, and a customer-first approach. Founded by Dave Thomas, Wendy's has grown into one of the largest quick-service restaurant chains worldwide. Its culture is rooted in principles like honesty, integrity, respect, kindness, and giving back to both employees and the community. These values shape Wendy's as a workplace and as a brand that takes pride in its people, which it views as its most valuable asset. Employees are encouraged to grow both personally and professionally within a welcoming and supportive environment. This particular opportunity is with an independently owned and operated Wendy's franchise in Buckeye, Arizona. Franchisees maintain their own compensation and benefits, which might differ from corporate-owned locations.
The role of Shift Manager at Wendy's offers a competitive hourly wage of $17.15 and is designed for motivated individuals who want to lead a team and build a successful career in the food service industry. Shift Managers are entrusted with ensuring smooth daily operations during their shifts, providing excellent customer service, and fostering a team-oriented atmosphere. They play a pivotal role in driving sales and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. This position offers clear and defined training programs, opportunities for career growth, paid time off, and an employee referral program. Benefits also include medical, dental, vision, and even pet insurance (available after 60 days of employment), access to a 401K plan with company matching that can be enrolled upon hire, and ON DEMAND pay. Bilingual candidates are preferred, opening more doors for team communication and expanding service capabilities.
Shift Managers at Wendy's are expected to lead by example with strong communication and interpersonal skills, adeptly managing both employees and customer interactions. They help cultivate a positive work environment where teammates collaborate effectively and are motivated to deliver outstanding service. Employees must be willing to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, and must meet physical demands such as standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing various movements like bending and reaching. The role requires practical problem-solving abilities and the capacity to interpret safety rules and operational procedures. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED, or have equivalent experience and training. Wendy's offers a vibrant, fast-paced work environment ideal for those who enjoy working with people and thrive in teamwork settings. This job provides an excellent opportunity to join a company that values its employees and offers substantial career advancement potential in the restaurant industry.
