Job Description
WKS Restaurant Group is a dynamic and rapidly growing multi-concept franchise restaurant developer and operator, managing over 300 stores across 17 states. As a licensed franchisee of several prominent brands including El Pollo Loco, Wendy's, Denny's, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Blaze Pizza, and Corner Bakery Cafe, WKS Restaurant Group demonstrates a strong commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences and operational excellence. With a widespread presence and diverse brand portfolio, WKS focuses on consistent quality, customer satisfaction, and creating rewarding career opportunities within the restaurant industry.
This opportunity is for a key leadership role within Wendy's, one of the most recognized fast-food chains globally, known for its quality menu offerings and outstanding customer service. The position involves managing shifts, training team members, handling cash procedures, and ensuring compliance with food safety and company policies. The goal is to uphold the store's plan and meet Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (Q.S.C.) standards, which are essential metrics driving Wendy's brand promise and customer experience. This role requires focused attention on team management and operational agility to maintain a productive and positive restaurant environment.
The job is offered by one of Wendy's many individually owned and operated franchisees through WKS Restaurant Group. This means compensation, benefits, and career advancement pathways may vary but typically align with competitive industry standards. Candidates selected for this role can expect a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical insurance (effective the first day of the following month after 30 days of employment), vision and dental plans, a 401(k) retirement plan with up to 4% company match and immediate vesting (enrollment after one year of employment), and paid vacation accrued bi-weekly, offering two weeks (10 days) annually with an increase to three weeks (15 days) after five years of service.
The role demands a versatile skill set, including operational leadership, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities to handle practical challenges and ensure seamless restaurant functioning. There is a strong emphasis on safety and compliance, both in food handling and general work environment policies. The physical demands of this position include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional driving for company errands, necessitating a valid state driver's license and insurance. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, with a high school diploma or GED preferred, and have some experience or training relevant to restaurant operations. Certification as a Crew Leader and Shift Supervisor is also expected, indicating a preparedness to oversee team performance and store operations effectively.
In summary, this position offers a promising career opportunity for individuals passionate about leadership in the fast-food industry. WKS Restaurant Group's commitment to growth and excellent brand management provides an environment where motivated professionals can develop their skills, contribute to operational success, and thrive within a well-established franchise system. Joining this team means being part of a dynamic organization that values quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement, fostering a workplace where employees are supported, trained, and rewarded for their contributions.
