Wendy's is a globally recognized fast-food restaurant chain renowned for its fresh and high-quality menu offerings, including their signature square-shaped hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, and frosties. Established by Dave Thomas, Wendy's has grown to become a beloved brand with a deep commitment to customer service, community involvement, and employee growth. At its core, Wendy's values honesty, integrity, respect, and kindness in all its interactions, upholding a family-oriented culture that fosters employee development and business success. This particular job listing is for a Shift Manager position at a Wendy's franchise located at 1541 S. Nevada Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80905. The franchise is independently owned and operated, which means compensation, benefits, and career advancement opportunities might differ slightly from company-owned stores, yet it maintains the high standards of the Wendy's brand.
The role of a Shift Manager at Wendy's is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant during a given shift. Shift Managers are entrusted with leading a team of crew members, ensuring top-notch customer service, and maintaining operational excellence to drive business success. They operate by instilling the core principles of Wendy's culture into their teams while promoting a positive and productive work environment. The role offers an hourly wage starting at $17.15, reflecting the importance Wendy's places on hiring responsible and motivated individuals who are dedicated to excellence and growth.
This position is ideal for those eager to develop their leadership abilities, with clear and defined training programs designed to help new managers succeed and grow. The Shift Manager is responsible for motivating and coaching staff, overseeing daily operations, managing inventory and cash handling, and ensuring all health, safety, and quality standards are met. Being bilingual is preferred, reflecting Wendy's commitment to serving a diverse customer base and creating an inclusive workplace.
Candidates looking to join Wendy's as Shift Managers should value the opportunity for career progression since the company sees its managers as future leaders with many growth opportunities. Benefits include paid time off, employee referral programs, medical, dental and vision insurance with eligibility starting the first day of the following month after 60 days of employment, as well as unique perks like pet insurance and a 401(k) plan with company match that employees can enroll in upon hire. Wendy’s emphasizes employee well-being by offering ON DEMAND pay, allowing workers quick access to their earned wages.
The physical demands of the role require a willingness to stand for extended periods, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and the flexibility to perform a variety of tasks including driving for company errands when necessary. Attention to safety, problem-solving skills, and the capacity to work well under limited standardization are important for success. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to apply.
Ultimately, this Shift Manager role at Wendy's offers a rewarding and dynamic work environment for individuals passionate about team leadership in a fast-paced, people-centered setting. It is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected brand committed to community impact and employee progress, ensuring managers can enjoy both challenging work and meaningful career advancement.
