This job opportunity is with a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee of McDonald’s. Unlike corporate-owned McDonald’s locations, this franchisee is a separate company and employer responsible for all employment matters including hiring, firing, scheduling, staffing, and employee supervision. While the franchisee uses McDonald’s logos and food products, it independently manages operations and employment. This distinction ensures that the franchisee holds complete authority over job-related decisions and that McDonald’s USA is not involved in these processes.

This position is for a Shift Manager role reporting within the franchisee’s restaurant unit. A Shift Manager leads crews and other managers during shifts to ensure McDonald’s high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness are consistently met. This role requires strong leadership to coordinate tasks, monitor performance, and promote a safe and productive environment during each shift. Shift Managers play a pivotal role in maintaining food safety, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service.

Besides supervising the team and ensuring operational excellence, Shift Managers also contribute to training crew members, scheduling shifts, maintaining cleanliness, and overseeing security and safety protocols. They act as leaders who embody McDonald’s values and work ethic while helping to meet targets and department goals.
