This job opportunity is with a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not directly by McDonald's USA. The franchisee possesses the license to use McDonald's logos and food products when running the restaurant but operates as a separate company altogether. This independent franchisee is solely responsible for all employment matters including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling employees within the restaurant. McDonald's USA holds no control over employment practices at this location and will not be involved in any decision-making processes regarding your application or employment status.
The position available is a Shift Manager role within this McDonald's franchise restaurant. This is a vital leadership role that entails managing shifts to ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly service experience every time they visit. As a Shift Manager, you will be entrusted with leading crew members and other managers during your shift, focusing on delivering high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. Your responsibilities will include shift planning, monitoring team performance, ensuring adherence to safety, security, and profitability standards, and effectively communicating with incoming shift managers to provide continuity and maintain operational excellence.
Additional duties involve overseeing food safety protocols, managing internal communications, handling inventory, supervising daily maintenance and cleanliness, scheduling, and training team members. Success in this role requires a passion for working in a fast-paced restaurant environment, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to inspire your team to meet restaurant goals and targets. Previous leadership experience, particularly in restaurant, retail, or hospitality settings, is preferred.
