Job Description

This job opportunity is with a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee licensed to use McDonald's brand, logos, and food products. It is important to note that this franchisee operates independently from McDonald's USA, making it a separate company and employer. The franchisee is solely responsible for all employment matters at the restaurant, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. McDonald's USA does not control or influence employment decisions, nor does it receive copies of employment applications or participate in hiring processes.

The restaurant environment is dynamic and fast-paced, adhering to the high standards set by McDonald's in terms of food quality, customer service, and operational cleanliness. Working here means being part of a team dedicated to delivering excellent customer experiences while fostering a collaborative and energetic workplace. This role particularly suits individuals passionate about leadership, customer service, and growth within the hospitality sector.

The role of a Shift Manager is pivotal within the restaurant's daily operations. As a leader on shift, you will ensure customers receive fast, accurate, and friendly service on every visit. You will lead and motivate the crew and other managers, ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald's standards for quality, service, and cleanliness. Responsibilities include planning each shift, monitoring in-shift performance, taking corrective actions when necessary, and maintaining safety, security, and profitability. You will also be tasked with communicating important information to the next shift manager to ensure continuity and success.

Further responsibilities may cover essential operational areas such as food safety compliance, internal communication, inventory management, maintenance of cleanliness, scheduling, training new crew members, and helping your department achieve its goals. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills in a supportive environment that values teamwork and personal growth.

Candidates with prior leadership experience in restaurants, retail, or hospitality are preferred. The company values positive team players who bring energy, flexibility, and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment. To be eligible for this position as a manager, candidates must be at least 18 years old.

Working as a Shift Manager at this franchisee-operated McDonald's also comes with competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits include paid vacation ranging from 15 to 25 days, ten paid holidays, and an 8-week sabbatical every ten years. The company supports ongoing education through the Archways to Opportunity program, which offers opportunities such as earning a high school diploma, college tuition assistance, and English classes.

In addition to education support, employees have access to medical, dental, and vision coverage plus pre-tax flexible spending accounts. Other insurance options include short- and long-term disability, life insurance, and accident insurance. Paid leaves of absence, service recognition awards, an employee resource connection, adoption assistance, and a matching gifts program are also part of the benefits.

This position offers a rewarding career path where you can develop valuable job skills, pursue education, and advance within the company. This role is ideal for motivated individuals looking to join a motivated team in a well-established franchise restaurant setting. If you seek a job that encourages growth, leadership development, and work-life balance, this Shift Manager position could be the perfect fit for you. Start your journey toward a fulfilling career with an independent McDonald's franchisee acting as your employer, offering excellent opportunities and a supportive workplace culture.
