Job Description
WKS Restaurant Group is a dynamic and rapidly expanding multi-concept franchise restaurant developer and operator, currently managing over 300 stores across 17 states. As a licensed franchisee, WKS operates popular and well-known brands such as El Pollo Loco, Wendy's, Denny's, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Blaze Pizza, and Corner Bakery Café. This extensive footprint in the food service industry reflects the company’s commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and community involvement, solidifying its reputation as a leader in managing a variety of restaurant concepts.
Wendy's, one of WKS Restaurant Group's key franchises, is a globally recognized fast-food restaurant chain famous for its signature square-shaped beef patties, fresh ingredients, and commitment to customer service. Known for its innovative menu and efficient service, Wendy's continues to set standards in the quick-service restaurant sector. At WKS Restaurant Group, each Wendy’s location operates with the intent to provide excellent food quality, exceptional customer experiences, and a welcoming atmosphere.
The role in focus is a shift supervisor position at Wendy’s, an essential leadership role responsible for managing shifts, training staff, handling cash, maintaining customer satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with food safety and company policies. As a shift supervisor, the individual plays a critical role in sustaining store operations that meet the Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (Q.S.C.) standards set by the company. This position requires active supervision of team members, fostering a cooperative environment, and managing operational duties efficiently under pressure.
The shift supervisor will be trained in various roles within the restaurant, requiring flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively. They are tasked with ensuring all protocols are adhered to, from health and safety regulations to company standards, while maintaining a positive customer-facing demeanor. The position demands physical stamina as the role involves standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasionally driving for company errands with proper licensing and insurance.
Employing this position through one of WKS’s franchisees means that compensation, benefits, and career development opportunities might differ from company-owned stores. However, Wendy's shift supervisors typically are eligible for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance starting the first day of the month after 30 days of employment. Additionally, they can participate in a 401(k) plan with company matching up to 4%, immediate vesting upon eligibility after one year, and paid vacation accrued bi-weekly, increasing with tenure.
This role also offers an opportunity for personal and professional growth within a large franchise system that values skill development, safety adherence, and leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a dynamic environment where they can make a tangible impact on customer satisfaction and store performance. The position encourages ongoing certification such as Crew Leader and Shift Supervisor credentials, supporting career progression within Wendy’s and WKS Restaurant Group. This job is suitable for those who meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years or older and who thrive in fast-paced, customer-service-oriented environments, with a dedication to essential food safety and operational protocols.
