Job Description
Wendy's is a globally recognized fast-food restaurant chain known for its fresh, made-to-order burgers and commitment to quality customer service. Established as a leader in the quick-service restaurant industry, Wendy's prides itself on providing not only delicious food but also an engaging and supportive work environment where employees can grow and develop their professional skills. The company operates through both corporate-owned and franchised restaurants, offering a dynamic range of opportunities for career advancement within the food service sector.
As a Wendy's Shift Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant located at 5365 Athens Boonesboro Road, Lexington, KY 40509. This role is designed for individuals who have a passion for leadership and customer service excellence, as you will be responsible for managing shifts effectively, ensuring operational goals are met, and mentoring team members to deliver an outstanding dining experience for every guest. The position provides structured development through Wendy’s dedicated Shift Manager development program, which equips you with the necessary training and hands-on experience to excel in leadership roles within the company.
Shift Managers at Wendy's are categorized into three distinct roles based on their experience and skill sets: open and close managers, back of house managers, and overall guest experience managers. No matter the initial assignment, every Shift Manager receives comprehensive training in all three areas, creating a well-rounded leader who can confidently manage various aspects of restaurant operations. This multi-faceted training ensures you develop robust management skills, including operational oversight, team leadership, quality assurance, and customer relations.
Wendy's offers a flexible and supportive work environment that values teamwork and personal development. As a Shift Manager, you will have the opportunity to influence the team's performance positively and your own career trajectory by leveraging the advancement opportunities available within the organization. Benefits such as vacation pay, 401k plans with company match, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees who qualify, demonstrate Wendy’s commitment to the well-being and financial security of its workforce. These benefits underline the company’s dedication to creating a sustainable and rewarding career path for its employees.
This job opportunity is offered through one of Wendy's many franchisees, which means compensation, benefits, and career programs may vary from one location to another, reflecting the independent ownership and operation of franchise restaurants. However, the core values of leadership, service excellence, and employee development remain consistent throughout the organization. This approach not only maintains the high standards customers expect from Wendy's but also fosters an engaging and inclusive work culture where every team member can thrive.
