Job Description

This job opportunity is offered by an independently owned and operated McDonald's franchise, separate from McDonald's USA. This franchisee holds a license to use McDonald's well-known logos and food products to operate the restaurant, but it functions as a completely independent entity with its own employment practices. If hired, candidates will be employed by the franchise owner rather than McDonald's USA, which means all hiring decisions, employee management, scheduling, and disciplinary actions are managed solely by the franchisee. McDonald's USA remains uninvolved in the hiring process and does not receive applications or manage employment relations for this restaurant.

The position open is for a Shift Manager role within this franchise-operated McDonald's. The ideal candidate will be seeking a rewarding career with opportunities for growth, flexibility in scheduling, and a supportive team environment. The job is designed to empower employees to thrive by offering a chance to build leadership skills in a dynamic, fast-paced restaurant setting. Shift Managers play a crucial role as frontline leaders who ensure that every shift runs smoothly by managing teams, maintaining quality standards, and delivering exceptional customer service.

This role includes overseeing food safety, crew management, inventory control, cleanliness, safety and security protocols, scheduling, and training of team members. Shift Managers act as the link between the crew and upper management, helping to ensure consistent performance aligned with the brand’s high standards for quality and service. Candidates who join the team can expect to gain valuable leadership experience suited specifically for the retail and hospitality sectors. Beyond just running shifts, this position encourages an inclusive atmosphere where employees encourage each other and build a strong workplace culture.

Working as a Shift Manager at this McDonald's franchise also offers a comprehensive benefits package that supports career and personal development. Employees enjoy paid vacation days, paid holidays, sabbaticals, educational opportunities through programs like Archways to Opportunity, and extensive medical, dental, and vision plans. Additional perks include flexible spending accounts, disability and life insurance, paid leaves of absence, adoption assistance, and a matching gifts program that helps employees contribute to causes meaningful to them.

This role is perfect for individuals aged 18 or older with prior leadership experience in restaurants, retail, or hospitality who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment. If you're passionate about delivering excellent service, knowledgeable about managing operations, and eager to develop as a leader, this position offers a pathway to achieve your professional goals while working with a well-known global brand at the franchise level. By joining, you take an important step toward future advancement within the company and strengthening your career.
