Job Description

This job opportunity is with an independently owned and operated McDonald's restaurant franchise. While this franchisee has a license to use McDonald’s logos and food products, it operates as a separate company from McDonald's USA. The franchisee is solely responsible for all employment matters including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. This distinction means that if hired, you will be employed directly by the franchisee, not McDonald's USA. Therefore, employment decisions such as interviews and hiring are made exclusively by the franchisee without any involvement from McDonald's USA. This position is for a Shift Manager role within this independently operated McDonald's franchise. The Shift Manager has a pivotal role in leading operations during their assigned shifts. This includes ensuring customers receive fast, accurate, and friendly service while maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and safety at all times. Shift Managers provide leadership to crew members and fellow managers, coaching and guiding them to perform their roles efficiently. They oversee multiple areas such as food safety, internal communications, inventory management, daily maintenance, quality food production, scheduling, and training employee teams.

The role is dynamic and requires someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to build leadership skills and advance in their career. Shift Managers are expected to plan each shift carefully, monitor ongoing performance, take action to uphold standards, and communicate effectively with incoming managers for seamless shift transitions.
