The Assistant General Manager position at Five Guys is a critical leadership role designed for highly motivated and skilled individuals eager to contribute to the ongoing success of the restaurant. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for managing daily restaurant operations, ensuring all company policies and procedures are followed with precision, and maintaining strong communication across the team. Job Duties

  • Manage daily operations and ensure smooth functioning of the restaurant including, but not limited to: completing opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures, thorough communication and occasional problem-solving/troubleshooting
  • Learn to perform all essential GM duties and ensure completion of these duties during GM's absence or at the GM's request
  • Train, supervise, coach and motivate a team of dedicated employees
  • Assist the GM in both recruiting and disciplinary processes
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer issues promptly and effectively
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Oversee inventory management and ordering of supplies
  • Full cash-handling responsibilities
