It is important to note that this franchisee functions as a separate company and employer from McDonald's USA. Therefore, the employment relationship is directly with the franchisee, not McDonald's USA. The franchisee is solely responsible for all employment-related matters, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and employee scheduling.
