Job Description
Tar Heel Capital, a proud franchise owner of Wendy's, began its operations in 1977 and has since expanded to operate 89 stores across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. Wendy's is a renowned fast-food restaurant chain, famous for its hot and fresh hamburgers made to order with a variety of toppings, along with other menu items that meet the needs of a broad customer base. Tar Heel Capital has grown to become a leader in the quick service restaurant industry within the region, driven by its commitment to quality, community involvement, and employee development. As a franchise, it upholds the values and standards set by Dave Thomas, the founder of Wendy's, placing great emphasis on customer service and high-quality food preparation. The company culture encourages teamwork, innovation, and dedication to excellence, making it an exciting destination for anyone looking to build a career in fast food restaurant management.
The role being offered is for full-time and part-time shift manager positions within Tar Heel Capital's Wendy’s restaurants. This position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about the food service industry to grow their careers in restaurant management. The company offers a structured entry for new managers through an extensive 10-12 week training program that combines classroom instruction with hands-on learning in real restaurant settings. Trainees will learn all aspects of restaurant management which includes operations, employee supervision, customer service, inventory control, and sales performance. While experienced managers are preferred, they are not required as the training program equips new hires with the essential skills needed for success. Particular consideration is given to candidates who have prior experience working with Wendy's. The company emphasizes its philosophy that a well-run restaurant should be managed by a well-paid manager and offers competitive base pay complemented by a bonus incentive structure to reward top performance. Along with remuneration, there are excellent advancement opportunities, and the company provides a comprehensive benefits package that supports both professional and personal growth. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurance, company matching 401(k), free meals and uniforms, tuition reimbursement, and adoption assistance programs. Wendy’s aims to attract extraordinary managers who match their commitment and passion for maintaining the high standards that customers expect from the brand. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, excel at multitasking, and possess excellent communication and team management skills. Candidates will find a supportive work atmosphere where they can take pride in ensuring every customer feels special by delivering quality food and service consistently. The role ultimately centers on upholding Wendy's core mission to serve hot, fresh hamburgers made to order while treating each customer with care and respect, making it an enriching career choice within a respected and growing company.
