This job posting is for a position at a restaurant owned and operated by an independent McDonald's franchisee, not McDonald's USA. This franchisee holds a license to utilize McDonald's logos and food products, enabling the operation of a McDonald's-branded restaurant. However, it is important to highlight that the franchisee operates as a distinct company and separate employer from McDonald's USA. Therefore, if hired, your employer will be this independent franchisee rather than McDonald's USA. All employment-related matters at the restaurant including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling fall under the sole responsibility of the franchisee, with McDonald's USA playing no role in these processes. McDonald's USA will not receive your employment application and will have no input in any employment decisions such as interviews or hiring.

This exciting opportunity is for a Shift Manager position at a McDonald's franchise restaurant. The role of a Shift Manager is pivotal in ensuring that customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience every time they visit. The Shift Manager serves as a visible leader for crew members and other managers during their shift, driving key operational standards across Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. The responsibilities of the Shift Manager include planning for each shift, monitoring performance in real-time, taking corrective action as needed, and ensuring the team meets McDonald's high standards consistently. They also oversee safety, security, profitability during shifts, and communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to ensure seamless transition and continuity of operations.

In this role, you may be accountable for managing food safety protocols, facilitating internal communication between team members, overseeing inventory management to reduce waste and ensure supply continuity, and maintaining daily cleanliness and equipment maintenance standards. Managing the crew involves leading, coaching, and supporting team members to deliver quality food production and exceptional customer service. Ensuring safety and security standards are upheld at all times is also crucial. The Shift Manager will be involved in scheduling shifts, training new and existing crew, and helping their assigned departments meet their goals and performance targets.

Ideal candidates for this position will have prior leadership experience, preferably in environments such as restaurants, retail, or hospitality. Flexibility in scheduling, a positive attitude, teamwork spirit, and an enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced setting like McDonald's are key traits for success. Applicants must be at least 18 years old to be eligible for the managerial role in corporate-owned and operated McDonald's restaurants.
