The franchisee holds a license to use McDonald's logos and food products while running the restaurant. However, it is important to note that the franchisee operates as a separate company and a distinct employer from McDonald's USA. If hired for this role, the franchisee will be your employer, responsible for employment-related matters such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. McDonald's USA has no involvement or control over these employment matters and will not receive a copy of your employment application nor participate in employment decisions including interviews or hiring.
