The Person in Charge role is an essential leadership position within our franchise that ensures smooth restaurant operations during shifts when management is not present. This role requires a hands-on approach combined with effective supervision skills to oversee daily functions including food preparation, staff management, inventory control, customer service, and maintenance duties. As the Person in Charge, you will supervise a team of 3 to 15 employees, delegating daily responsibilities to ensure efficient operation of the store with minimal waste and adherence to safety and quality standards. You will support the team especially during busy periods, help manage orders and supplies, and maintain a clean and organized environment. Equipped with comprehensive tools and training, you will be empowered to motivate your team, resolve operational challenges, and deliver outstanding service. Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as business dictates
- Physical stamina to work 40-50 hours per week
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, listen, see close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Occasionally able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Commitment to uphold store policies and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Ability to use basic math including addition, subtraction, and understand basic fractions
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to motivate and guide a team
- Experience in food service or related industry preferred
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Duties
- Supervise a staff of approximately 3 to 15 employees
- Delegate responsibilities for ordering, receiving, storage, and issuing of all food, labor, equipment, cleaning, and paper supplies for the unit to ensure a minimum loss from waste and theft
- Assist in the supervision of preparation, sales, and service of food
- Supervise food preparation and service operations while on duty
- Assist team members during rush periods to ensure restaurant efficiency
- Complete daily food preparation including meat and vegetable slicing, portioning, and rotating products
- Assist in daily and weekly paperwork
- Assist in preventive maintenance and upkeep on store's equipment and supplies
- Perform other related duties as required
