Job Description

Located at 3680 NE Akin Dr. Ste 142 in Lees Summit, MO, our establishment represents a unique and vibrant franchise of Jimmy John’s, a renowned sandwich chain recognized for its commitment to quality, freshness, and exceptional service. Unlike typical fast food operations, we pride ourselves on a culture that emphasizes exceptional care for both customers and employees. Our franchise creates an environment that is dynamic, fun, and focused on delivering freaky fresh sandwiches while maintaining a clean and efficient store. We look for team members who share our passion for quality and are ready to contribute to a workplace that values growth, leadership development, and an upbeat atmosphere.

The Person in Charge role is a vital position within our team, designed for individuals who are eager to take responsibility during shifts when management is not present. This role goes beyond typical fast food work; you will be supported with all the essential tools and training needed to thrive and succeed in a fast-paced yet supportive environment. As the Person in Charge, you will coordinate daily restaurant operations, lead and supervise a team ranging from 3 to 15 employees, and ensure that the store operates efficiently and effectively while upholding Jimmy John’s high standards.

Your responsibilities will include supervising food preparation and service, delegating tasks related to ordering and inventory control, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting team members during busy periods. You will also be entrusted with essential administrative duties such as paperwork and equipment upkeep, ensuring smooth operations throughout your shift. The role demands leadership, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to maintain composure during peak hours. This is an outstanding opportunity for individuals looking to gain management experience that can lead to further career advancements, including roles such as Assistant Manager, General Manager, Area Manager, or even Director of Operations within our expanding franchise network.

We offer competitive wages that vary based on experience and a comprehensive benefits package. Our benefits include PPO medical, dental, vision coverage, paid time off, and an employee meal program. Beyond financial benefits, we invest in career development through mentorship and support from management and human resources to help you grow into a leadership role. You will learn valuable management skills, develop pride and ownership of your work location, and have the potential to shape your career within one of the fastest-growing restaurant brands in the country. Additionally, this role requires physical stamina, as you will be active on your feet for most of the shift and occasionally perform tasks that involve lifting, climbing, or other movements.

If you are at least 18 years old, willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed, and eager to build a career in a fun, challenging, and rewarding environment, we encourage you to apply. Join us at Jimmy John’s where we don’t just do fast food; we do food... F.A.S.S.T! Be a part of a team that values dedication, growth, and a freaky fresh experience for every customer and team member alike.
