Job Description

The company at 4740 S 48th St Ste. 107, Phoenix, AZ 85040, United States is a dedicated franchise operator of Jimmy John's, a renowned fast-casual sandwich restaurant brand known for its commitment to serving fresh and high-quality sandwiches quickly. This establishment is not your typical fast food franchise; it prides itself on maintaining a culture of care, quality, and fun, offering employees competitive wages, comprehensive benefits, and ample opportunities for career growth and leadership development. The franchise emphasizes a unique experience that goes beyond quick service to encompass food quality, team dynamics, and customer satisfaction.

The role of Person in Charge at this Jimmy John's franchise is pivotal, as it involves overseeing restaurant operations during assigned shifts without the presence of management. This position demands a hands-on leader who can juggle supervising a staff of 3 to 15 employees, delegating responsibilities efficiently, and maintaining stringent standards in food preparation, safety, and store cleanliness. The Person in Charge is integral to ensuring operational efficiency, managing inventory carefully to minimize waste and theft, and performing essential functions such as meat and vegetable slicing, portioning, and product rotation.

As a Person in Charge, the individual receives extensive training and support to excel in this dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role serves as an excellent stepping stone for those interested in leadership within the hospitality and fast-food industry, offering mentorship programs and a clear path toward advancement to assistant manager, general manager, area manager, or even director of operations. The position requires physical stamina for 40-50 hours per week, the ability to handle various physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, and availability to work overtime, holidays, and weekends.

In this role, the Person in Charge supports a team through busy rush periods, completes daily paperwork, assists with preventive equipment maintenance, and ensures that all aspects of the restaurant run smoothly. The company values leadership development and offers career advancement opportunities alongside attractive benefits, such as PPO medical, dental and vision plans, paid time off, and employee meal programs. This position is ideal for someone passionate about food service, team leadership, and continuous professional growth within a respected fast-casual franchise.
