The Person in Charge role is a pivotal position within our store's operational team. This role is designed for a dedicated and proactive individual who can manage the restaurant effectively during assigned shifts when management is not present. The Person in Charge will take on supervisory responsibilities, leading a team of 3 to 15 employees and ensuring that the store runs smoothly from opening to close. This includes oversight of food preparation, service, inventory management, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant.

This position requires an individual who can manage multiple duties simultaneously, delegate tasks responsibly, and assist the team especially during busy periods. The Person in Charge will also be involved in administrative duties such as paperwork and ensuring compliance with operational standards. Physical stamina and the ability to perform in a high-paced environment are essential, as well as a commitment to quality food and customer service. The candidate will gain valuable management experience that can lead to further advancement within the company, such as becoming an Assistant Manager, General Manager, or even progressing to Area Manager or Director of Operations. This role offers a meaningful career path in the fast-casual dining industry with supportive management and a structured mentorship program.

Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as business dictates
  • Physical stamina to work 40-50 hours per week
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, listen, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
  • Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work in moderate noise environments
  • Ability to perform the essential functions with reasonable accommodations if needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior retail or food service experience preferred
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and understanding fractions
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities

Job Duties

  • Supervise a staff of approximately 3 to 15 employees
  • Delegate responsibilities for ordering, receiving, storage, and issuing of all food, labor, equipment, cleaning, and paper supplies
  • Assist in the supervision of preparation, sales, and service of food
  • Supervise food preparation and service operations while on duty
  • Assist Team Members during rush periods to ensure restaurant efficiency
  • Complete daily food preparation including meat and vegetable slicing, portioning, and rotating products
  • Assist in daily and weekly paperwork
  • Assist in preventive maintenance and upkeep on store's equipment and supplies
  • Perform other related duties as required
