The role of Shift Leader Trainee at ABC is designed to nurture future management talent by providing hired individuals with hands-on training and experience, typically progressing into the Shift Leader position within 90 days. This role is pivotal in enhancing store operations, increasing sales in wine and spirits, and delivering an exceptional guest experience. As a Shift Leader Trainee, you will serve as a Manager on Duty in training, responsible for opening and closing the store, overseeing daily store operations, and assisting store leadership in maintaining smooth business functions. Your duties will encompass providing prompt, friendly, and engaging service to guests while ensuring accuracy in processing transactions, handling cash, and applying discounts as per company policy. The role requires continuous learning to stay updated on company policies, training requirements, and product knowledge to deliver an informed and high-quality guest experience.

Moreover, Shift Leader Trainees will coach and direct sales associates when acting as Manager on Duty in training to promote excellent customer service and adherence to operational procedures. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized store environment is essential, covering sales floors, stockrooms, team member areas, and customer-facing bathrooms. You will also participate in daily property maintenance, such as sweeping, trash removal, and ensuring the outside area is presentable. Shift Leader Trainees will assist with merchandising efforts by unloading deliveries, restocking shelves, and assembling custom gift baskets or providing wrapping and carryout services when needed.
