The Shift Leader role is a pivotal position within our restaurant operations. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities during your assigned shifts, stepping in for the General Manager or Assistant Manager when they are unavailable. Your primary focus will be ensuring each guest receives outstanding service and that our team adheres to the company’s high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and safety. You’ll lead by example, managing everything from opening and closing procedures to coordinating food preparation and inventory management. Your leadership will guarantee smooth operations, employee engagement, and an excellent guest experience every day.

In this role, you will manage a variety of responsibilities including team task prioritization and shift staffing adjustments that respond to varying sales volumes. Your ability to maintain the cleanliness and safety standards according to health codes and company policies will be essential to protect both customers and employees. You will also train and support team members, helping them master new products and operational procedures to maintain efficiency and product consistency.

Operational management duties will include overseeing opening cash registers, handling phone inquiries, verifying catering orders, and managing cash flow and deposits responsibly. Your dedication to compliance with operational procedures and internal controls ensures the restaurant functions smoothly and remains a trusted establishment within the community. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
  • Must be certified on all EPL SPECS positions or have 1 or more years of restaurant supervisory experience
  • Must pass the EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) class after hire
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Commitment to maintaining health and safety standards during shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred

Job Duties
