The role of Shift Leader at DHC is a pivotal position that ensures smooth daily operations and maintains the high standards expected by both guests and the management team. Job Requirements

  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends holidays opening and closing shifts

  • Ability to bend stoop and lift 50 to 75 pounds
  • Ability to work in close quarters and around heat

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Follow the steps outlined in the DHC Training Program to learn and train new skills duties and responsibilities
  • Abide and enforce rules and direction given by the Restaurant Management Team
  • Communicate to immediate Supervisor when additional training guidance is needed
  • Perform required operations walks and quality checks
  • Organize shift schedules and monitor attendance and time off
  • Assign duties to team members based on role and skill level
  • Greet guests record orders and serve food and beverages
  • Ensure team members prepare menu items following cooking instructions safety and sanitary requirements
  • Use kitchen equipment such as ice cream dispensers fryers and warmers
  • Ensure restaurant cleanliness by delegating cleaning and sanitizing duties
  • Handle guests' concerns and complaints professionally
  • Maintain neat and tidy appearance adhering to uniform policy
  • Provide supervision and feedback to maintain productivity and team morale
  • Communicate team member performance to management and address issues
  • Train new and current team members
  • Balance cash drawers and prepare deposits
  • Plan organize and implement daily operational routines
  • Complete required administrative duties and paperwork
  • Supervise and perform opening and closing activities
  • Establish an environment of trust for open communication
