As a Sweetgreen Shift Leader, you play a critical role in the day-to-day success of the restaurant by guiding team members, supporting operations, and embodying the company mission to build healthier communities. This position requires strong leadership, energy, and accountability to ensure the team delivers outstanding hospitality and seamless service during shifts. Shift Leaders maintain operational standards by managing service pace, quality, food safety, cleanliness, and communication. This role offers a tremendous growth opportunity with a clear path to becoming a General Manager within two years for top-performing leaders. Shift Leaders take pride in motivating their teams, solving problems efficiently during high-volume periods, and upholding Sweetgreen's commitment to hospitality and food quality. Job Requirements

  • Meet all physical requirements for all roles within the Shift Leader career path including the Kitchen Lead and Team Member roles
  • 1+ year of experience in a Shift Leader or Supervisor role
  • Experience in fast-paced environments restaurant retail or hospitality
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks while maintaining operational standards
  • Ability to speak read write and understand the primary language(s) of the work location
  • Must be able to work at least 30 hours per week
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
