As a Shift Leader at Sweetgreen, you will play a crucial role in leading daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service, and embodying Sweetgreen’s mission to build healthier communities. This role requires a dynamic leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about coaching and supporting team members. The Shift Leader will oversee operational standards, maintain food safety protocols, and facilitate exceptional customer service. With a focus on strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving, the Shift Leader helps foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture where all guests and employees feel welcomed and valued. In this role, you will support the team by stepping into any station during peak times or when staffing is low, directly handle customer concerns including allergy-related issues with care to avoid cross-contamination, and manage multiple operational needs simultaneously. You will ensure the restaurant adheres to safety policies and regulations, maintain quality and accuracy of orders, and lead by example in emotional regulation during high-pressure situations. The Shift Leader also assumes Kitchen Lead duties and supports employee growth through mentorship and performance management. The ideal candidate has at least one year of leadership experience in a similar environment, preferably food service, retail, or hospitality, is highly organized, and an effective communicator who can nurture a productive and upbeat team atmosphere.

Job Requirements
- Meet all Kitchen Lead and Team Member minimum requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience as Shift Leader or Supervisor
- Experience in fast-paced restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting
- Ability to multitask and maintain operational standards
- Proficiency in the primary language of work location
- Availability to work at least 30 hours per week
- Must be 18 years or older
- Authorization to work in the United States
