The position offered is for a Shift Leader who plays a critical role in the restaurant's daily operations. As a Shift Leader, the individual will oversee all aspects of the restaurant during their shift, ensuring operational efficiency, exceptional customer service, and adherence to company standards including safety and cleanliness. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage and motivate team members, and a hands-on approach to maintaining quality and compliance during busy service hours.
The Shift Leader will be responsible for managing restaurant opening and closing procedures, coordinating team tasks related to setup, food preparation, and cleaning, as well as handling inventory and delivery logistics. They must ensure that the restaurant meets speed of service and customer satisfaction metrics consistently and that the environment remains safe and clean according to health and company standards. This role also involves training new team members on products and operational protocols, managing cash operations, and adjusting staffing according to sales volume to optimize productivity.
Preferred candidates will have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, with some supervisory experience in a restaurant setting. Certification on all EPL SPECS positions or passing the EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) class after hire is also required. Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Manage restaurant opening and closing procedures including security protocols
- Coordinate crew tasks for setup food prep and cleaning
- Conduct inventory checks and update inventory system
- Handle food deliveries ensuring accuracy in inventory records
- Ensure customer service and speed of service metrics meet company goals and standards
- Maintain restaurant cleanliness according to EPL and health code safety standards
- Ensure adherence to safety practices and quality service cleanliness standards
- Prioritize team members' tasks during shift
- Ensure break policies are followed for self and others
- Adjust shift staffing based on sales volume for productivity
- Monitor and adjust food production consulting with Area Leader as needed
- Train and support team members on new products and operational procedures
- Manage restaurant operating duties including cash registers phone calls catering orders and company funds
- Conduct safe and cash drawer audits prepare deposits consult with Area Leader to ensure compliance
- Continuously strive to meet or exceed customer expectations and satisfaction
- Greet and assist customers with orders in a friendly and helpful manner
