The franchisee holds the license to use McDonald’s brand logos and food products but maintains independent control over all employment-related decisions and restaurant operations. This means the franchisee, not McDonald’s USA, is responsible for hiring, firing, scheduling, discipline, supervision, and all employment matters within the restaurant.
