This job opportunity is with a McDonald's restaurant operated by an independent franchisee. Unlike corporate-owned McDonald's locations, this restaurant is owned and managed by a separate business that has licensed the McDonald's brand, logos, and food products. The franchisee is the sole employer responsible for all employment-related decisions such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. McDonald's USA itself does not govern any personnel matters within this franchisee-operated restaurant, and therefore will not have access to or influence over the hiring process. This distinction means that by applying for this job, you will be entering into an employment relationship directly with the franchisee, not McDonald's USA.
