The Shift Leader role at Caribou Coffee is a pivotal position responsible for leading the store operations in collaboration with the General Manager or Assistant General Manager. This role requires a proactive and enthusiastic leader who can inspire the team, ensure operational excellence, and maintain high standards for product quality, cleanliness, and customer service. Shift Leaders play a crucial role in setting the tone for each shift, driving team engagement, and prioritizing guest satisfaction with a core philosophy dubbed 'Make Fun Happen'.

As a Shift Leader, you will be expected to demonstrate mastery in the tasks typically performed by Team Members while also providing leadership and strategic oversight to maximize sales and minimize waste. You will take full ownership of the store’s atmosphere, ensuring that every aspect from the look and feel to the deployment of team members aligns with the company's standards and core values. Effective communication is key in this role, as Shift Leaders must coordinate team efforts, delegate responsibilities, and provide real-time coaching to foster a productive and harmonious work environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, resilience under pressure, and a commitment to personal and professional growth. Shift Leaders are responsible for maintaining consistency in Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and quality controls, supporting team members’ development, and managing daily administrative tasks such as bank deposits and inventory. This position demands a hands-on leader who leads by example, brings joyfulness to the work environment, and actively participates in career conversations with employees.
