Job Description

The Shift Lead role at DashMart plays a crucial part in the success of this local fulfillment model. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, motivated individual comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Responsible for managing shifts within the fulfillment center, Shift Leads actively engage in overseeing warehouse operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring the quality and timeliness of order fulfillment. In some locations, this role also involves light food preparation in the kitchen. Shift Leads act as leaders on the floor by delegating tasks, guiding operations associates, and maintaining high standards for safety, cleanliness, and efficiency. By taking ownership of both people and processes, Shift Leads contribute significantly to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include owning the shift operations, maintaining company assets with care, and ensuring all warehouse and kitchen activities run smoothly. Shift Leads foster a positive, respectful, and safe workplace environment that motivates the team while driving productivity. They also serve as the escalation point for operational challenges, working closely with site management to resolve issues and improve workflows. This role offers the opportunity to impact customer delight directly by ensuring accurate, timely orders and smooth Dasher pickups.

Applicants should possess strong organizational skills and familiarity with digital tools like Google Docs and Google Sheets. Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work various shifts is essential, along with a willingness to obtain and maintain a food handling certificate. Physical capability to lift heavy items up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks is also required. Prior experience in food and beverage, warehouse, or retail environments will provide a strong foundation for success in this role.

Job Requirements

  • at least 18 years of age
  • ability to be on feet and move heavy products lifting up to 50 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED equivalent

Job Duties

  • take ownership of assigned shifts including warehouse and kitchen processes safety cleanliness quality and training
