Job Requirements

  • Experience as an assistant kitchen manager, shift lead or BOH leader in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with SOP, procedures, and system implementation
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Computer savvy
  • Highly organized, effective in a new restaurant opening environment
  • Passion for sustainability and ingredient integrity
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • ServSafe certified
  • Based in San Jose area

Job Duties

  • Lead daily kitchen operations and uphold goop Kitchen’s culinary standards
  • Train, coach, and develop a high-performing kitchen team
  • Ensure recipe adherence, portion control, and consistent execution
  • Maintain Health Department compliance, HACCP standards, and strict sanitation protocols
  • Manage food and labor costs with a systems-driven approach
  • Drive a culture of “Detect, Fix, Prevent” and continuous improvement
  • Assist with ordering, invoices, weekly inventory and end of week financial reports
