Job Description

KFC Corporation is a globally recognized fast-food restaurant chain known for its delicious fried chicken and commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Founded in 1952, KFC has grown to become one of the largest quick-service restaurant brands in the world, with locations in numerous countries. This growth has been fueled by a dedication to consistent food preparation, excellent customer service, and a strong corporate culture that emphasizes teamwork and community engagement. KFC operates both corporate and franchised locations, providing employment opportunities in a supportive and dynamic environment where employees can develop their skills and build meaningful careers.

The position of Team Member at the Veradale, WA location involves supporting the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) by managing shifts effectively and ensuring operational excellence. This role requires a self-sufficient individual who takes ownership and responsibility for solving problems while seeking help when appropriate. Team Members are expected to contribute to a positive work environment by providing help and guidance to colleagues. The primary focus is on maintaining high standards for customer service, food safety, and operational efficiency.

Team Members play a crucial role in ensuring consistent customer satisfaction by executing the Manager-In-Charge (MIC) Success Routine, which includes responsibilities related to people, customers, and service. They ensure all team members complete their assigned tasks during shifts and maintain a neat and professional appearance by adhering to uniform standards. Customer needs are prioritized, with Team Members greeting customers politely and resolving any complaints quickly to maintain positive relations. The job also emphasizes working with urgency and collaborating effectively with management and peers to foster a cooperative team environment.

Attendance and reliability are critical for success in this role. Team Members must understand their work schedules, report on time, adhere to uniform guidelines, and accurately use the approved timekeeping system. Initiative and energy are equally important, as Team Members are expected to take action proactively and maintain high activity levels without needing constant supervision. Additionally, developing people is a key responsibility, where Team Members provide regular feedback to the RGM about team performance, participate in training activities, and handle conflicts constructively with the support of the RGM.

The role also involves acting like an owner by assisting in profit and loss management. This includes following cash control and security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor costs, and overseeing proper product handling, including preparation, rotation, portioning, cooking, and holding times. Team Members help ensure the facility meets health and safety standards and assist with maintenance as needed. Other duties as assigned by the manager may also arise, making this a varied and engaging position that supports the restaurant's overall success.

Typically, employees in this position average more than 30 hours per week, though hours may vary based on operational needs. The company values employee growth and prefers promoting from within, particularly from the Hourly Champion position. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy teamwork, customer interaction, and taking initiative in a fast-paced environment. KFC Corporation is an equal opportunity employer committed to inclusive hiring practices and welcomes applicants regardless of race, gender, age, or other protected statuses.
