Job Description

In line with this, Northwest Restaurants is seeking a capable and motivated individual to support the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) by running shifts effectively and independently. This position is pivotal in ensuring that daily operations run smoothly while maintaining high standards for customer satisfaction, food quality, and team performance. The role actively engages in solving operational challenges, providing guidance to staff, and contributing to a positive and productive work culture. The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, excellent interpersonal skills, and an understanding of how to lead a restaurant team to deliver exceptional service consistently.

The position demands a proactive approach to managing both people and processes. Primary responsibilities include executing the Manager-In-Charge (MIC) Success Routine, ensuring all team members fulfill their Shift Excellence tasks, overseeing employee presentation and uniform standards, and personally prioritizing customer needs. The individual will be responsible for upholding food safety regulations, quality standards, and order accuracy, while swiftly resolving customer complaints to maintain positive relations.

Equally important aspects of the role include fostering teamwork among co-workers, encouraging a cooperative and enthusiastic workplace atmosphere, and ensuring dependable attendance and punctuality. An essential facet of the job is providing ongoing feedback, training, and support to team members to aid in their development, as well as assisting the RGM with conflict resolution.

This role also requires the candidate to assist with managing profit and loss responsibilities through cash control, security procedures, inventory maintenance, and labor management. Compliance with health and safety standards is critical, as is maintaining the facility’s operational condition. Physical demands of the job include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and stooping for the majority of the shift.

Typically, employees will work 30 or more hours weekly, with schedules varying based on operational needs.
