Job Description

This opportunity is with a well-established and reputable restaurant company that is part of the Northwest Restaurants family of restaurant companies, known for its commitment to excellent customer service and operational excellence. The business prides itself on creating a positive experience for both employees and customers through strong training, support, and a team-oriented culture. As a restaurant group, they focus on delivering high-quality food and an exceptional dining atmosphere by upholding stringent food safety and customer service standards.

This role is a managerial support position that plays a critical part in ensuring smooth daily operations within the restaurant. The successful candidate will assist the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) by running efficient and effective shifts with a high degree of self-sufficiency. This involves taking full ownership and responsibility for solving problems as they arise, while also knowing when to seek assistance to maintain operational standards. The role requires leadership qualities to provide guidance and support to fellow team members, ensuring their tasks are completed to the highest standards.

The position requires a balance of interpersonal skills and operational know-how. You will be expected to drive customer satisfaction by executing the Manager-In-Charge (MIC) Success Routine, focusing on areas like people management, customer engagement, and service delivery. This means ensuring all team members complete their shift excellence tasks on time and comply with uniform standards, and then personally exemplifying a customer-first mindset. The role demands consistent enforcement of food safety, quality, and the accuracy of orders, as well as prompt resolution of customer complaints while maintaining a positive customer relationship.

Working with a sense of urgency and promoting cooperation among peers is vital. You will develop and maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude that fosters teamwork and mutual support. Attendance reliability is essential, as you will need to adhere to posted work schedules, be punctual, and ready to work as scheduled. You are also expected to use approved timekeeping systems accurately.

Your initiative and energy will be essential in taking proactive steps beyond what is simply required, maintaining a high level of activity to support the business's smooth operation. You will actively participate in the training and development of team members, providing both constructive criticism and praise to help them improve and grow within the team.

Additionally, this role requires an ownership mindset. You will assist with managing profit and loss by following cash control and security procedures, maintaining inventory accuracy, and managing labor costs efficiently. Overseeing proper product preparation, rotation, portion control, cooking, and holding times is part of the role to ensure food quality standards are maintained. You will assist the RGM with facility maintenance and ensure health and safety standards are consistently upheld.

This position typically averages 30 or more hours a week, but hours may vary based on the operational needs of the business. The company values internal promotion, showing a strong preference for candidates moving up from the Hourly Champion role – demonstrating a clear career path within the organization. The minimum age requirement is 18 years to join this dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are motivated, organized, and ready to demonstrate leadership in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
